The time comes for many elderly people where they could do a little extra support for day to day living. It maybe that cooking each day has become a bit of a hassle or hoovering and cleaning windows is not as easy as it used to be. You have three choices open to you: employ support staff, go into a nursing home or join an independent living organisation. Getting good support staff is difficult and you still have the issue of supervision and administration. In most instances joining a nursing home is financially prohibitive and you completely lose your independence. In most cases joining an independent living organisation is the preferred choice.
During the past twenty- five years we have learnt many lessons as to what works for our residents. As a result, we have tweaked our product to ensure that our residents get exceptional standards of help and support. In the past five years, we have completely refurbished Rosepark House and the bungalows to ensure comfortable surroundings for all of our residents.
We have also set our own quality programme to monitor the quality of the services that we provide to our residents. Our own team of quality assessors monitor and evaluate our facilities, staff and services to ensure that every individuals wellbeing and needs are in good hands and that there is consistency in the service delivered.
We also pride ourselves in the fact that we listen. Regular meetings are held with our residents to get feedback on their opinions. We also like to get feedback from family members.
Food is one of the key elements in the package we offer our residents. Our trained staff prepare a three course freshly cooked lunch served daily in the dining room, 365 days of the year. We use fresh produce to ensure nutritious meals. Also, if you have a dietary issue this will also be catered for.
If you have an appointment and are unable to make lunch then all you have to do is ask the staff to keep your lunch. It is a known fact that lunch is one of the key points in the day at Rosepark as it allows residents to catch up and discuss the latest news.
